I think what I have said there is in wrongly divisive and wrongly abrasive language, and is surely not true for the majority of modern Scots, and I apologise for being so harsh. Well these days I think that most Scots are very decent people, although I do suffer as result of someone in Scotland wanting to "kick it to me". I think that when I was being attacked without knowing Jesus to turn to for comfort I over reacted mentally to the physical damage they inflicted on me - and also it was not just Scots that attacked me. I actually now think that due to the shared history between all of Britain it would be lovely if the peoples of all three indigenous tribes on this island could get along on a friendly basis; I believe that the unity of this island is a good thing, although not essential, it is very desirable, and far from wanting a population exchange I think that mixing between peoples from different parts of Britain is a very positive thing. Family rumour says that one branch of my own family came form Scotland a long time ago. Indeed the genetics of this island are all mostly the same, dating back to the bell-beaker folk. Plus we all have a lot in common culturally and there are many good things to say about the Scots in general, such as a general honesty in business and a willingness to help people in small but pleasant ways, such as sorting out administrative or business problems. I also think many Scots are kind and give to charity or are very supportive of family/friends who are on hard times or even very unfortunate strangers. You may wonder why I do not edit the original blog to be in more temperate language and to be a more balanced; I simply do not have the password to this account anymore.
